HOLLAND CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
November 21, 2017
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Marion Hoeve at 5:30 p.m.
Present: Chairman Marion Hoeve, Vice-Chairman/Secretary Jack Vander Meulen, Members LaVerne Johnson, Norm Nykamp, and Ed Zylstra. Also present were Community Development Director John Said, Assistant Community Development Director Corey Broersma, and Planning Consultant David Jirousek.
Absent: Members Ken Bosma and Dennis Gebben.
Mr. Hoeve invited Mr. Jirousek to begin the review of the proposed zoning ordinance update, formal draft, dated November 7, 2017:
Commissioners and Staff discussed various topics throughout the document and directed Mr. Jirousek to revise articles as requested and plan to continue the review in December.
Mr. Hoeve recognized a member of the public (Mr. Fitzgerald) and heard his comments in regards to noise regulations, special event parking, ground-mounted solar energy collectors, and home occupations for future consideration.
Next Special Meeting to be in December. Staff to coordinate available dates between Commissioner’s and Planning Consultant’s schedule and propose a date.
