Community Center Director

Holland Charter Township has an opening for a full-time Community Center Director. The Township will be posting this position internally and externally.
Hiring is subject to: successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening; review of motor vehicle driving records to verify holding a valid Michigan’s driver’s license and demonstration of a responsible driving record; criminal history record review; and verification of the accuracy of applicant-provided information.
Basic Function: The Community Center Director serves as the facility manager and directs the overall operations and programming of the community center.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight to all full-time and part-time community center staff and seasonal/ temporary/volunteer workers. Plans and organizes staff schedules and assignments, evaluates employee performance.
- Prepares annual budget requests for assigned areas, manages/monitors budget revenues and expenses, implements cost control strategies as necessary.
- Responsible for the development and delivery of all center recreation programs and activities as well as administering all program-related contracts and partnership agreements.
- Assesses the success of center recreation programs and activities through data collection and customer interaction. Prepares evaluation reports.
- Registers members and maintains all membership data using recreation software (RecDesk).
- Services, coordinates and provides supervision for groups and group rentals.
- Reviews and resolves payment disputes.
- Operates and supervises facility maintenance.
- Performs related work as required.
